Yeah, it's been quite a while since I've posted, but it's also been quite a while since I've done anything interesting... so oh well.
Last night I went to the last Purgatory. I didn't think I was going to get to go, because I couldn't get tickets before. So of course, I was there in just a tee-shirt and jeans. Not bad, but getting all dressed up for the show is part of the fun.
The show was awesome, and I'm depressed that there won't be any more. There were more stage shows than I've ever seen at a Purg before. A fire show... which was new to me. But it's been 3 years, so I could have just missed them. |

Thanks to some of the lovely "security" features in ActiveSync, I lost ALL of my contacts on my phone and on the PC when I switched phones.

I'm rebuilding my gentoo installation, which is giving me a bit of hell. I used Leia's formely corrupted computer to do most of the dirty work, because it's much faster than mine, but I'm having one HELL of a time getting all the correct drivers loaded properly. Of course, getting the hang of this kind of stuff was the whole reason for doing it. Mustn't complain.. Oh crap, too late. I've been working on it for going on 36 hours... But that's mostly because the driver changes take forever to compile on my incredibly antiquated hardware. I may be able to make some money off of it when I finally upgrade. There's an antique store that just might find it old enough to be valuable!
And I'm installing Windows on Leia's computer, as well. I was kinda disappointed in Leia when she had me put Windows back on her box after spending a couple months with Linux, but she really doesn't qualify as a geek so I won't hold it against her.
I'm 2/3rds of the way through my 3 day weekend, and I've been doing nothing very much. I'm a bit stir crazy, and I'd hoped to spend some time with Shellie. Unfortunately, she fell asleep last night so I never went to see her, and I haven't heard from her yet tonight. Perhaps I'll yet manage to get out of the house... |

Thanks to Kate (aquathegoddess), I have just created this lovely account. Those of you who are reading this, don´t worry about how infrequently I update it. I was keeping a Myspace blog, which I´ll abandon in favor of this (hooray open source), but it´ve kept it fairly empty.
I´ve always thought that keeping a journal would be a good idea for me, and an online journal just seems to work great, except for one major problem: Everything important (or at least blogworthy) that happens in my life involves other people, and I can´t bring myself to publicly publish other people´s private life.
So, I´m probably stuck using this like I used my Myspace blog - as a place for the occasional rant, and somewhere to review any events I may attend.
